Biological solutions for better agriculture

Stronger roots start with living biology, not just chemistry.

AgriBac develops live microbial inoculants — rhizobia, Trichoderma, free-living nitrogen fixers and phosphate solubilisers — built and produced for South African soils, crops and conditions.

Why biological

Nature does the heavy lifting — we just help it work harder.

Every AgriBac product carries live, carefully selected microorganisms straight to the root zone, where they build the biological systems your crop relies on all season long.

Stronger root systems

Rapid colonisation and root branching give every plant a bigger, healthier foundation to explore soil, water and nutrients from day one.

Biological nitrogen & phosphorus

Rhizobia and free-living fixers convert atmospheric nitrogen into plant-available forms, while phosphate solubilisers unlock what's already bound in your soil.

Resilience under stress

Trichoderma protection and DP500 carrier technology keep beneficial biology alive on the seed and support plants through drought, heat and disease pressure.

Grown across South Africa

Built for the crops — and livestock — you already farm.

Every AgriBac product is matched to a real crop or role on the farm. Tap a tile to see the product behind it.

Root to nodule

From root recognition to biological nitrogen, in five steps.

Every AgriBac rhizobial inoculant follows the same natural sequence — whether it's lucerne, soybeans or dry beans on the seed. Understanding the pathway is how we know our biology is actually working below ground.

  • Root recognition — compatible bacteria and root hairs exchange chemical signals in the rhizosphere.
  • Infection & nodule development — bacteria enter root tissue and specialised nodules form.
  • Active nitrogen fixation — healthy nodules turn pink to red inside as they convert N₂ into plant-available nitrogen.

The nitrogen cycle

How a healthy nodule builds your yield

01

Root recognition

Roots and compatible bacteria signal each other in the rhizosphere.

02

Infection

Bacteria enter root hairs and travel toward the root cortex.

03

Nodule formation

Specialised nodules develop and mature to house the bacteria.

04

N₂ fixation

Inside active nodules, atmospheric nitrogen becomes plant-available.

05

Plant growth

Biological nitrogen fuels vigour, yield and long-term productivity.
